MANASYS
Jazz now has a Code Sharing Certificate issued by Sertigo. This allows “Jazz Software Ltd” to be added
into the table of approved suppliers, so that enterprise customers don’t have
to make an exception to their security rules and allow software from an “unknown
supplier” to be installed.

Omit
key of related record. I was generating
a web service to update EMPLOYEE data. EMPLOYEE’s definition includes EXISTS to check referential integrity, like this: -

WORKDEPT CHAR(3) CAPS DKEY 'XEMP2' EXISTS DEPARTMENT.DEPTNO,
The Web Service generation dialog give you the option of
selecting fields like DEPARTMENT.DEPTNAME from the related table to
include as read-only fields in the web service message. I
made a mistake by selecting DEPARTMENT.DEPTNO, which is quite pointless as
you already have its value in EMPLOYEE.WORKDEPT. This error is
now prevented.

Existing users: if you’re running MANASYS Jazz from a saved shortcut, check that you’re running build #257 by looking at Help/About, or the line 4 comment of the generated COBOL. If you have a saved shortcut to the previously-loaded version then this may continue to run the old version.
